Introducing Your Psychotherapist...
Amanda completed her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Criminology and a minor in Psychology from Lakehead University. She continued her education to receive her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology through Yorkville University. Amanda prides herself on utilizing an integrative, client-centered approach, where she will work together with clients to fill their toolboxes with the skills and coping mechanisms that will benefit them most. She is here to listen to your story and assist in guiding you down your path to mental wellness. She has experience working with a variety of clients, including individuals struggling with stress management, anxiety, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. She has also worked with couples and families in rebuilding their relationships and reconnecting. Lastly, she is passionate about working with youth, to assist in the multitude of struggles in this world, including emotional regulation, self-harm, self-esteem, and managing diagnoses such as ADHD or Autism. She is currently working towards specializing in working with those struggling with anxiety, the utilization of Dialectic Behavioural Therapy, Trauma care, and working with those who are on the autism spectrum. Amanda is very excited to be a part of the Miller Health Team and provide care to those in the community. She looks forward to meeting you and assisting you on your journey!
